USENIX encourages students in the computing systems field to join as members in order to receive the many benefits we offer, including ;login: magazine, online access to all current Conference Proceedings, and discounts to all USENIX events. We strongly encourage students to participate by submitting Papers and attending our events. By simply becoming a member, however, you will have instant access to some of the most highly regarded Proceedings in the industry.

If your school has a faculty or staff member who participates in our Campus Representative Program, please contact them for further information about USENIX and SAGE, and what it means to be a member of the Association.

Student Dues

USENIX: We offer full-time students a special membership rate of $40 a year. Students must provide photo ID. USENIX Students receive the same member benefits as USENIX Individual members, but do not carry voting rights.

SAGE: Students may now join SAGE, a Special Interest Group within USENIX, without being a member of USENIX. SAGE membership is $25. The member benefits for SAGE are the same as a SAGE Individual membership.

You can join using our online membership application, or print this membership application (PDF) and fax or mail it to us. You must be able to provide us with a current student ID in order to receive the student discounts. Our student programs are targeted at students who attend college full-time, and are studying computer sciences.
